Руслан Зварич

“Мамо, вибач, я поїхав на війну”. Такі слова почула від свого сина Руслана Зварича його матір Галина. Син просив у неї вибачення за будь-які провини, коли їхав у потязі, що курсував до лінії фронту. Далі — місяць невідомості, переживань, молитов і “абонент поза зоною досяжності”… Але Руслан знайшовся. Зараз чоловік — на лікуванні у львівському військовому госпіталі після важкого поранення, отриманого під час бойових дій в зоні АТО.

Війна у хату Зваричів прийшла 10 березня 2015 року. Саме тоді син Руслан, отримавши повістку, прийняв мужнє рішення — “йти воювати”, повідомляють  ”Вісті Калущини”.

Матір Руслана, котрій виповнилося  64 роки, каже, без сина вдома доводилося важко. Руслан і маму підбадьорював, і по господарству порався, навіть у хаті наводив лад.

Спершу 43-річний Руслан Зварич перебував на навчанні у одній із військових частин, відтак — у зоні проведення АТО. Щоправда, де саме, матір не знає, бо зв’язок із сином обірвався, коли той їхав на фронт.

— Востаннє зателефонував мені з потяга, сказав, що їде на війну, попросив пробачення, якщо мене чимось образив, — розповідає матір військового Галина Зварич. — Далі зв’язок із сином пропав. Після двох тижнів я пішла у військкомат. Там пообіцяли його розшукувати. Минув ще тиждень, а у нас не було жодної звістки. Далі я звернулася до волонтерів Калуської філії “Союзу українок”, поговорила з хлопцями, котрі їздять на Схід, описала свого сина. Найстрашніше, коли вони запитали, які в нього особливі прикмети, за якими його можна упізнати. Після тих слів всіляке передумала...

21 травня, на свято Вознесіння, до хати Зваричів нарешті прийшла звістка — Руслан живий. Правда, у Руслана важкі травми після поранення.

— Син спочатку був у лікарні Сєвєродонецька, потім у лікарні Дніпропетровська. Зараз у львівському госпіталі, — розповідає мати Руслана. — Але стан його дуже важкий. У нього поранення у голову, лікарі кажуть, доведеться вкладати пластину розміром 15 на 15 см. Лівий бік майже повністю знерухомлений: ні рука, ні нога майже не дієздатні. Син майже не говорить, а ще — нікого не впізнає. Запитує, де батько, а він помер вже 7 років тому. Або, коли йому виходити на роботу в “пожежну”, де він колись працював…

На реабілітацію Руслана потрібні чималі кошти. Мати Руслана дуже скромна, каже, не хоче “жебрати”, бо всім зараз нелегко, але й взяти гроші на лікування Руслана сім’ї нема звідки, мати— пенсіонерка. Тож усі, хто може, допоможімо пораненому бійцю!

‘Mom, I’m going to war, sorry’, Ruslan Zvarych said to his mother Galyna while the train was taking him to the front line. The son asked his mother to forgive him anything that made her sorrow or grieve. And then the entire month of obscurity, worries, prayers and the voice in the receiver saying ‘the number you have dialed is either switched off or out of range’… Against all odds Ruslan was found. Now he is in the military hospital in Lviv recovering from the severe wound that he received during the fight in the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) zone.

March 10, 2015 was marked for the Zvaryches family as the date of their war. It was the date when Ruslan received his call-up notice and courageously determined to ‘bear arms’ as the local newspaper Kalushchyna News reports.

Ruslan’s mother is already 64 and it is not that easy for her to look after the house alone. Ruslan would cheer her up and help her around the house, he even did the cleaning.

43-year-old Ruslan Zvarych was first taken to one of the training units whereafter he was transferred to the ATO zone. His mother did not know where exactly he was since the connection with his mobile was lost while he was going to the front line.

‘Last time he called me from the train, he said that he was going to war and asked forgiveness’ says the mother of the soldier Ruslan Zvarych. ‘Then the connection with my son’s mobile was lost. Two weeks later I went to the Military Registration and Enlistment Office where they promised to arrange for his search. Yet another week passed and I still knew nothing about him. Then I contacted the representatives of Soyuz Ukrayinok volunteer organization at their Branch in Kalush, I told about my son to the guys who make trips to the Eastern area, described his features. I experienced much of a shock when I was asked to give his unique characteristics which would help identify him. Lots of negative thoughts would come to my mind after that…’

Finally, on May 21, when the Christians celebrated the Feast of the Ascension of Jesus Christ, the message about Ruslan reached his home. He was alive but had severe wounds.

‘My son was first in the hospital in Severodonetsk, then he was moved to Dnipropetrovsk. Now he is in Lviv’. Ruslan’s mother says. ‘But his is in a very bad condition. He was wounded in his head, and he has to be implanted a 15x15 plate. His left side of the body is almost immobilized so he can hardly move his left arm and left leg. My son is unable to speak plus he doesn’t recognize anyone. He asks about his father who died 7 years ago, or asks about his fire brigade shift, a place where he used to work a while ago...’

Ruslan’s rehabilitation is very expensive. His mother is a very modest person and refuses to accept help for she knows that she is not alone with her problem. Yet Ruslan’s family has no savings to pay for the treatment, and his mother is on pension. So we are asking for everyone’s help to collect the money for the wounded soldier!

Ruslan’s lost memories are gradually restoring. He recognizes his brother and his aunt who take care about him. Yet sometimes his memories become lost especially the most recent ones. Very soon Ruslan is to be implanted a metal plate inside his head. Also, Ruslan started to walk a little (earlier he used only wheelchair). He can bend his left leg which was immovable, yet the left arm remains immobilized.
